Updated Information on Comer Execution, Protests and Vigils, and Annual Meeting

Robert Comer's execution is scheduled for May 22, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Below is a list of events related to the execution. In addition, following the execution, CAADP will hold its annual meeting, at which elections for the Steering Committee will take place.

Comer Execution, Protest, and Vigil

There will be two events to protest Mr. Comer's execution—a vigil in Tucson and a peaceful protest in Florence (where death row is located). We strongly encourage you to contact Dennis Seavers in Phoenix at 602-400-4025 or Claudia Ellquist in Tucson at 520-622-3339 for up-to-date information, just in case there are any last-minute changes by us or from the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Tucson Vigil: May 21 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., corner of Euclid and Speedway.
Florence Protest: May 22, from 9:00 a.m. until just after the execution. Details of the exact location at the prison complex are forthcoming. CAADP is working with the Arizona Department of Corrections on the location of the protest.

Annual Meeting and Elections

The annual meeting and elections will take place after the execution at the L & B Inn at 695 South Main Street in Florence. At the annual meeting, there will be nominations and elections for the CAADP Steering Committee. All members are welcome to attend.
