StopMax Arizona Statewide Networking Forum

Event at Pima Community College, Downtown Campus, on May 19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday, May 19, 2007, the American Friends Service Committee of Arizona will hold a kick-off event for its new campaign, StopMax Arizona. StopMax Arizona is AFSC's new campaign challenging the use of long-term solitary confinement. Thousands of people in Arizona are held in long-term solitary confinement, including youth and pre-trial detainees. The mental health consequences are dire and long lasting. This forum is an opportunity to learn about the realities of long-term solitary confinement and strategize how its use can be reduced in Arizona.
